Yes. Food and periods go hand-in-hand. Eating an anti-inflammatory and blood sugar balancing diet will ensure balanced hormones and regular periods. First off, cravings and binge-eating are common symptoms of periods because of the hormones (chemicals) rising and falling in your body. It's okay to have cravings! Carbs and sweet foods can sometimes help bring your mood up. The food you eat on your period won't change the texture of your blood (it might change the poop!), but it will mostly just change your mood. Try to eat healthy foods that still match those cravings - for example, berries!
