What are the complications of not bleeding enough?

A light period alone is not a cause for concern. If you are experiencing other symptoms in tandem with light periods or skipping your period, it would be a good idea to go in and have a conversation with your doctor.
Having a light period is not usually cause for concern. However, if someone has consistently light periods, starts skipping periods altogether, or has pelvic pain associated with bleeding they should talk to their doctor. Many different factors can contribute to a lighter period, including diet, exercise, hormonal birth control, or health conditions including eating disorders.
