Why do I not learn about menstrual cycles in Sex Ed. class?

Menstruation is unfortunately still a taboo subject, that's a big reason why Ask August exists! We are trying to break that stigma and open the conversation. We want to get rid of any taboo & stigma around periods and use the actual names and words for body parts & products, instead of nicknames!
