How do you make a tampon more comfortable?

How do you make a tampon more comfortable?

The first step is to figure out if you prefer using a tampon with an applicator or without. We'd recommend August tampons which have a BPA-free plastic, long, smooth, rounded tip applicator made for easier insertion.

Then, explore your body and how the tampon goes in.

  • Using a clean finger, you can slide the tampon further up your vagina (vaginal canal).
  • Once inserted, you shouldn't be able to feel it. Some body movement (like walking) will help it settle into place too!

If you are finding tampons uncomfortable no matter how hard you try, maybe try a different menstrual product, like August's organic cotton pads!
