What is the anatomy of a uterus?
Our Answer
What our doctors say
The uterus is the inner part of the sex organ. It is shaped like an upside down pair with fallopian tubes (tiny passageways for the eggs to travel) at the top corners that lead to the ovaries (oval-shaped organs in the upper right and left of the uterus where the eggs are kept). It is one of the strongest muscles in the body since it has to expand and narrow (tampons, intercourse, babies, etc.).
