Will coffee make my cramps worse on my period?

Our Answer
What our doctors say

There are many studies confirming that coffee intensifies period cramps, since it can make the blood vessels in your uterus tighten.

Coffee can be enjoyed at the right times of your menstrual cycle. Eat a meal with 1 daily cup of coffee to slow down the absorption of caffeine. Maybe find a caffeine replacement for the 5 days leading up to your period. Once your period is over you can switch back to coffee.
