How can we stop chhaupadi once and for all?

Chhapaudi is just another form of period taboo. If we continue having conversations, being curious, and being ready to learn about periods, we can stop the stigma. The Nepali Parliament have a law (as of 2017) against the Chhaupadi practice, but it is up to us to challenge the taboo.
The Nepali Parliament enacted a new law in August 2017 criminalizing the Chhaupadi practice and imposing a fine and/or a three-month jail sentence for anyone forcing a woman to follow the custom. However, enacting the law alone will not solve the problem; the real challenge will be enforcing it.
